Atoms are extremely tiny particles that make up the world around us.
Each atom is made up of even tinier particles. They are like tiny planets moving around a tiny sun. These tiny planets are called electrons. They keep circling and don’t fly off into space because of a force called charge.
Charge can be negative or positive. The electrons are negative. The central particle like a tiny sun is positive. Positive and negative attract. If the centre had the same charge as the electron they would be repelled and fly away.
